Every year many of the specialist finance industry migrate to Cannes in the South of France to attend an event called MIPIM, labelled as the world’s leading real estate event. For the last 30 or so years, many have made the trip to attend the exhibitions, see guest speakers and attend networking events.
But nothing was exempt from Covid and the last couple of years saw events cancelled and although the 2022 event will go ahead, no one knows what faces them in terms of attendance and restrictions.
As a light hearted alternative, SKIPIM, the brainchild of personnel from Adapt and Albatross, will be held for the first time. An open invite has been issued, mainly using LinkedIn, to anyone operating within the specialist finance industry and is expected to be attended by brokers, lenders, lawyers, surveyors and any associated professionals. Just one week after launch, EventBrite as seen over 200 registrations for the event on 16th March.
No overseas travelling or agenda, SKIPIM is simply a get together for the industry in a London venue to provide ease of access to all and of course, support the returning hospitality industry. All costs have been covered by the wo organisers, Adapt and Albatross, plus Medianett are kindly providing promotional support to ensure a good attendance.
